Regular Season Round 23: Begastri - Aldaia 67-75

No shocking result in a game in Cehegin where tenth ranked Aldaia (6-10) defeated 12th ranked Begastri (1-15) 75-67 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-67. The best player for the winners was Carlos Hortelano who scored 14 points. Ricardo Carrion chipped in 8 points and 6 rebounds. Aldaia's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Manuel Sanchez (198-95) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and Alvaro Bernal added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Begastri players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Aldaia maintains tenth place in Group E with 6-10 record. Begastri lost their third game in a row. Begastri at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Aldaia will face UAF Lucentum (#11) in Alicante in the next round. Begastri will play at home against Lliria and hope to win that game.
