Regular Season Round 23: Centrum - Tromso 76-88

Rather expected game in Oslo where 10th ranked Centrum (1-24) was defeated by seventh ranked Tromso (11-14) 88-76 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Tromso. Centrum was better in second period 27-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Keon Lawrence (187-87, college: Seton Hall) who had a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import forward Shawntez Patterson (201-90, college: Alabama St.) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Lawrence is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Torvald Kambestad (198-96) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Tromso maintains seventh place with 11-14 record. Centrum lost their fifteenth game in a row. Defending champion stay dead last with 24 lost games. Tromso will face league's second-placed Kongsberg at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Centrum will play against Fyllingen BBK (#3) and hope to win that game.
