Regular Season Round 16: Karpos Sokoli - Kozuv 77-90

Everything could happen in Skopje at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Kozuv and 8th ranked Karpos Sokoli had identical 5-10 record. But Karpos Sokoli was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Gevgelija 90-77 on Saturday night. Serbian swingman Miladin Pekovic (197-83, agency: BeoExcell) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Serbian power forward Ivan Miskovic (204-84, college: Alaska-Fairb., agency: Interperformances) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. Kozuv's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Luka Petrovski (196-96) produced 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Andrej Anastasov (192-97) added 21 points respectively for lost side. Five Kozuv and four Karpos Sokoli players scored in double figures. Kozuv (6-10) moved-up to eighth place. Karpos Sokoli lost tenth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. Kozuv will meet at home bottom-ranked Strumica (#12) in the next round. Karpos Sokoli will play against Pelister Bitola and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
