Regular Season Round 32: Brest - COR-Borisfen 73-111

Very expected game when 9th ranked Brest (5-23) was crushed at home by third ranked COR-Borisfen (24-2) 111-73. The game without a history. COR-Borisfen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Brest's 40. COR-Borisfen forced 31 Brest turnovers. Strangely Brest outrebounded COR-Borisfen 50-37 including a 37-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 46 assists comparing to just 29 passes made by Brest's players. Brest was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American forward Justin Coleman (203-94, college: Charleston) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and Russian Benjamin-Pavel Dudu (200-91, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) supported him with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four COR-Borisfen players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists by guard Anton Shchurko (188-97) did not help to save the game for Brest. Swingman Pavel Moroz (193-88) added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Brest's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. COR-Borisfen have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 24-2 record having 4 victories less than leader Tsmoki-Minsk. Brest lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 23 games lost. COR-Borisfen will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Brest will play on the road against RCOP Tsmoki (#10) in Minsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
