There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Miasto Szkla (7-14) won against higher ranked Trefl (9-11) in Krosno 85-81 on Saturday. Miasto Szkla made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. Trefl was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Croatian guard Jakov Mustapic (193-94) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points. American forward Jayvaughn Pinkston (201-91, college: Villanova) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Miasto Szkla players scored in double figures. American guard Jermaine Love-Roberts (188-89, college: Ill.-Springfield, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 21 points and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and the former international Filip Dylewicz (202-80) added 22 points in the effort for Trefl. Miasto Szkla moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with AZS Koszalin. Loser Trefl dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Miasto Szkla will face higher ranked Stelmet Enea BC (#3) in Zielona Gora in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
