Regular Season Round 22: Prat - Sammic ISB 76-72

Very predictable result when second ranked CB Prat (17-5) defeated at home bottom-ranked Sammic ISB (6-16) 76-72. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It looked good early as Sammic ISB took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then CB Prat had a 18-13 second period charge getting the lead and Sammic ISB was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 72-76. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Josep Perez (184-94) who helped to win the game recording 24 points. The former international swingman Saul Blanco (196-85) contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American guard Mo Evans (185-94, college: IPFW) replied with 18 points and center Victor Serrano (211-89) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Sammic ISB. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. CB Prat maintains second position with 17-5 record having just two points less than leader Breogan. Newly promoted Sammic ISB dropped to the bottom place with 16 games lost. CB Prat's next round opponent will be Leyma Basquet (#9) in Coruna and are hoping to win another game. Sammic ISB will play at home against Lleida Basquet (#10) and hope to win that game.
