Regular Season Round 36: Fukuoka Rizing - Toyotsu FE 96-90

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Toyotsu FE (22-13) on the court of first ranked Fukuoka Rizing on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Fukuoka Rizing 96-90. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Toyotsu FE. Fukuoka Rizing dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Toyotsu FE's 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a good game for American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) who led his team to a victory with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Yasuhiro Yamashita (187-86) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: Washington St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Toyotsu FE. Four Fukuoka Rizing and five Toyotsu FE players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing maintains first position with 28-7 record which they share with defeated Toyotsu FE. Toyotsu FE at the other side still keeps top place with 13 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing are again looking forward to face league's leader Toyotsu FE in Nagoya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Toyotsu FE will have a break next round.
