No shocking result in a game in Renedo de Pielagos where fifth ranked Pielagos (14-6) defeated 16th ranked CBT Gimnastica (3-17) 78-67 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American guard Ron Lee (188, college: Cent.Methodist) who scored 25 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Brais Gago (180-96) chipped in 13 points and 7 assists. Four Pielagos players scored in double figures. Pielagos' coach Jose Ignacio Alvaro used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Nicolas Diaz (192-93) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds and power forward Tomas Ramon (203-84) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Pielagos moved-up to third place in Group A-A, which they share with Santurtzi and Easo. CBT Gimnastica lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the sixteenth position with 17 games lost. Pielagos will face Mondragon (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CBT Gimnastica will play against Valle de Egues in Olaz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
