The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Scandone AV as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Scandone AV smashed 14th ranked The Flexx PT in Avellino 101-71. Scandone AV looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by The Flexx PT's players. It was a great evening for Ukrainian center Kyrylo Fesenko (216-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). British-Canadian forward Thomas Scrubb (198-91) helped adding 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side American point guard Ronald Moore (183-88, college: Siena) responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Tyrus McGee (188-91, college: Iowa St.) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with EA7 Armani and Umana VE. The Flexx PT at the other side dropped to the thirteenth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with New Basket BR. The Flexx PT will play next round against Openjobmetis VA trying to get back on the winning streak. Scandone AV will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked MIA-RO Cantu on the road.
