Eleventh-ranked Maccabi K/M (7-11) used its home court advantage to challenge fourth ranked Maccabi K/G (12-6) in Kiryat Motzkin. The visitors from Kiryat Gat managed to secure only two-point victory 81-79. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was naturalized Polish point guard Nimrod Tishman (197-91, agency: Avi Zilberman) who scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international center Robert Rothbart (217-86, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds. Four Maccabi K/G players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Folarin Campbell (189-86, college: George Mason) who recorded 29 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import power forward Kenny Hall (206-90, college: Tennessee) added 17 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Maccabi K/G moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Maccabi K/M keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Maccabi K/G's next round opponent will be Elitzur Yavne (#8) at home where they are favorite. Maccabi K/M will play against Maccabi Raanana and hope to win that game.
