There was no surprise when 8th ranked Orebro (3-10) was outplayed on the road by sixth ranked Eskilstuna (7-6) 121-56 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Eskilstuna led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Orebro's 26. Eskilstuna forced 24 Orebro turnovers and outrebounded them 57-35 including a 23-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Orebro's players. Spanish guard Julian Lopez (187-94) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners and forward Pontus Lennartsson (198-93) chipped in 14 points and 15 rebounds. Five Eskilstuna players scored in double figures. Damir Avdic (-93) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Robert Schultz (-89) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Eskilstuna maintains sixth place with 7-6 record. Orebro lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Eskilstuna will face Brahe Basket (#10) in Huskvarna in the next round. Orebro will play on the road against Hammarby in Stockholm and hope to win that game.
