A very interesting game took place in Rouen. It ended with only three-point home defeat of higher ranked SPO Rouen (10-10) to fifteenth ranked Aix-Maurienne (7-13) 73-70 on Thursday evening. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was American power forward Curtis Kelly (208-88, college: Kansas St., agency: HMS) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Point guard Hugo Suhard (184-92) chipped in 13 points and 7 assists. American Amin Stevens (203-90, college: Florida A&M) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Ivorian forward Remi Dibo (201-91, college: W.Virginia, agency: Octagon Europe) added 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Aix-Maurienne moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Nantes and Poitiers. SPO Rouen lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Aix-Maurienne's next round opponent will be higher ranked Saint Chamond (#6) on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
