Regular Season Round 39: Toros - Fuerza Regia 87-86

Important game to mention about took place in Nuevo Laredo. Seventh ranked Toros (18-17) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 4th placed Fuerza Regia (22-15) 87-86 on Thursday evening. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for guard Gary Ricks (185-91, college: Drake) who saved his team from a defeat with 34 points (!!!). Forward Brandon Swannegan (206-93, college: Tulsa) contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Andy Panko (203-77, college: Lebanon Valley, agency: BeoBasket) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for Fuerza Regia. Four Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. Toros maintains seventh place with 18-17 record. Fuerza Regia at the other side keeps the fourth position with 15 games lost. Toros will again play against higher ranked Fuerza Regia (#4) in Monterrey in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fuerza Regia will have a break next round.
