Regular Season Round 38: Hiroshima D. - Gunma 94-87

There was a small surprise in Hiroshima where fourth ranked Dragonflies (19-19) won against top-ranked Gunma (23-14) 94-87 on Friday. It was a great shooting night for Dragonflies especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 71.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Terrence Drisdom (196-92, college: Cal Poly Pomona) who scored 15 points and 6 assists. Guard Hiromu Kitagawa (182-91) chipped in 11 points and 9 assists. American forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) added 17 points respectively for the guests. Five Dragonflies and four Gunma players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dragonflies maintains fourth position with 19-19 record. Loser Gunma still keeps top place with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
