Very predictable result in Logrono where eighth ranked Caceres Basket (11-11) beat 16th ranked Cocinas.com (6-17) 76-71 on Friday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Cocinas.com won third quarter 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Caceres Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Cocinas.com's 26 and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Caceres Basket forced 20 Cocinas.com turnovers. Cocinas.com was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian forward Rolandas Jakstas (202-92) who scored 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Lithuanian center Robertas Grabauskas (208-90, college: Northwood, agency: HMS) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Evan Yates (198-91, college: Ashland) produced 6 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Tre Coggins (190, college: CS Fullerton) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Cocinas.com's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Caceres Basket moved-up to seventh place. Cocinas.com lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the seventeenth position with 17 games lost. Caceres Basket will face Sammic ISB (#16) in Azpeitia in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cocinas.com will play on the road against Melilla Baloncesto and hope to win that game.
