Regular Season Round 24: Sant Adria - Cantaires Tortosa 66-68

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Sant Adria (7-11) was edged at home by eleventh ranked Cantaires Tortosa (6-12) 68-66 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 68-66. Strangely Sant Adria outrebounded Cantaires Tortosa 50-28 including a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American forward David King (201, college: Lindenwood) who led his team to a victory with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Jordi Barbera (202-96) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Alberto Reyes (195-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and center Oscar Amo (204-97) added 11 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Sant Adria. Sant Adria's coach Mario Lousame rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Cantaires Tortosa maintains eleventh position in Group C-A with 6-12 record, which they share with Barbera. Sant Adria lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 11 games lost. Cantaires Tortosa will face higher ranked Arenys (#6) in Arenys del Mar in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
