Regular Season Round 21: Real Canoe - Navarra 66-70

Everything could happen in Madrid at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Navarra and 9th ranked Real Canoe had identical 10-10 record. But Real Canoe was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Pamplona 70-66 on Saturday night. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 42-35 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for American-Ivorian forward Moussa Kone (203-93, college: Hofstra, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Inaki Narros (196-81) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four Navarra players scored in double figures. Center Jose-Maria Gil (207-91, agency: Dynamics Global Management) answered with 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Jorge Tejera (200-92) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Real Canoe. Navarra (11-10) moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted Real Canoe keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Navarra will face Cambados (#13) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Real Canoe will play against Fundacion 5+11 (#12) in Baskonia and hope to win that game.
