Regular Season Round 33: RCOP Tsmoki - Brest 96-86

Bottom-ranked RCOP Tsmoki managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of eight consecutive losses on Saturday night. This time newly promoted RCOP Tsmoki won against ninth-ranked Brest in Minsk 96-86. The game was mostly controlled by RCOP Tsmoki. Brest managed to win second period 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 34-of-40 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game, while Brest only scored seventeen points from the stripe. RCOP Tsmoki forced 20 Brest turnovers and had a 32-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. 30 personal fouls committed by Brest helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Herman Plotnikau (193-0) who scored 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Alex Tsynkevich (201-1) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Pavel Moroz (193-88) who recorded 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Konstantin Solyshko (196-96) added 20 points respectively. Five RCOP Tsmoki and four Brest players scored in double figures. Brest's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted RCOP Tsmoki maintains tenth place with 3-26 record. Brest at the other side keeps the ninth position with 24 games lost. RCOP Tsmoki will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Brest will play on the road against Impuls BGUIR (#6) in Minsk and is hoping to win this game.
