Regular Season Round 18: Arkadikos - Peristeri GS 67-90

Undefeated leader Peristeri GS delivered the eighteenth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 13th ranked Arkadikos (4-14) 90-67 in Arkadia. The game was mostly controlled by Peristeri GS. Arkadikos was better in second period 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Peristeri GS shot the lights out from three nailing 19 long-distance shots on high 59.4 percentage. It was a good game for swingman Antonis Mantzaris (193-86) who led his team to a victory with 23 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Center Gaios Skordilis (207-87) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Peristeri GS players scored in double figures. Swedish guard Jordan Peltier (193-95) replied with 19 points and center Savvas Tsougarakis (207-86) added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Arkadikos. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Peristeri GS (18-0) have an impressive 18-game winning streak. Newly promoted Peristeri GS maintains first position with a perfect record of 18 victories in a row. Arkadikos at the other side dropped to the fourteenth place with 14 games lost. Peristeri GS will play against Ethnikos (#9) in Pireus in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Arkadikos will play against Ermis Agias (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
