Very expected game when 12th ranked Venafro (7-16) was edged at home by third ranked Cassino (17-6) 50-47 on Sunday. It was a great evening for naturalized Argentinian swingman Manuel Carrizo (196-80, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. The former international power forward Simone Bagnoli (205-81, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 6 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian power forward Guillermo Laguzzi (204-82) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Niccolo Rinaldi (199-93) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. Cassino moved-up to second place in B, which they share with Crema and Piacenza. Loser Venafro keeps the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Cassino will face Battipaglia (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Venafro will play against the league's leader Basket Barcellona and hope to win that game.
