There was a minor upset when 4th ranked Legnano (13-8) lost to seventh ranked Viola RC (12-10) in Reggio Calabria 61-75 on Sunday. Quite impressive performance for American forward AJ Pacher (208-92, college: Wright St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Power forward Patrick Baldassarre (200-86, agency: Players Group) contributed with 15 points and 7 assists for the winners. American Nikolas Raivio (192-86, college: Portland, agency: Pensack Sports) replied with 18 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) and point guard Alessandro Zanelli (187-92) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Legnano. Viola RC maintains seventh position in A2 with 12-10 record. Loser Legnano keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. Viola RC will face Eurobasket Roma (#11) on the road in the next round. Legnano will play against Lighthouse TRP (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
