Regular Season Round 24: Gimle BBK - Nidaros Jets 85-52

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Gimle BBK (14-12) crushed 8th ranked Nidaros Jets (8-18) in Bergen 85-52. The game without a history. Gimle BBK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Nidaros Jets' 26. Gimle BBK forced 22 Nidaros Jets turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Nidaros Jets' players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Eivind Lamo (195-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Lorenzo Cugini (198-93, college: High Point) who added 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Gimle BBK players scored in double figures. Gimle BBK's coach Audun Eskeland felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American center Evan Harris (206-86, college: Harvard) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 25 rebounds and guard Even Skjellaug (195-95) scored 8 points. Gimle BBK maintains fifth position with 14-12 record. Nidaros Jets lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 18 games lost. Gimle BBK will play against Froya Basket (#6) in Laksevag in the next round. Nidaros Jets will play at home against Ammerud Bskt and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
