Very important is a road loss of third ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (11-6) against eleventh ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (6-11) on Sunday night. Visiting Hapoel Jerusalem was defeated by Ironi Nes-Ziona in a tough game in Nes Ziyona 79-88. The hosts were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 21-16 Hapoel Jerusalem's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 88-79 at the end of the game. Naturalized Welsh Tal-Michael Dunne (198-87, agency: Avi Zilberman) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Nigerian power forward Talib Zanna (206-90, college: Pittsburgh, agency: 3Eye) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American Jerome Dyson (191-87, college: Connecticut) answered with 15 points and 7 assists and the former international forward Lior Eliyahu (205-85) added 2 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Hapoel Jerusalem. Five Ironi Nes-Ziona and four Hapoel Jerusalem players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ironi Nes-Ziona moved-up to tenth place. Defending champion Hapoel Jerusalem keeps the third position with six games lost. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play against league's leader Maccabi T-A in Tel-Aviv in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel Jerusalem will play at home against Bnei Hasharon and hopes to get back on the winning track.
