Regular Season Round 23: Perugia - Pescara 68-85

Very expected game when 15th ranked Perugia (5-18) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Pescara (13-10) 85-68 on Sunday. Pescara shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. It was a great evening for forward Mathias Drigo (203-89, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points. Guard Ennio Leonzio (191-94) helped adding 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Pescara players scored in double figures. Center Alessandro Panzieri (199-95, college: High School) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and guard Davide Marchini (185-95, agency: Players Group) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Pescara moved-up to sixth place in B, which they share with Forli Tigers. Loser Perugia keeps the fifteenth position with 18 games lost. Pescara will face higher ranked Campli (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Perugia will play against Teramo (#9) and hope to win that game.
