Very expected game in Belo Horizonte where 9th ranked Minas (9-11) was rolled over by fourth ranked Vivo/Franca (16-5) 84-65. Vivo/Franca outrebounded Minas 31-18 including 26 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for international Leonardo Meindl (201-93) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international Lucas Cipolini (206-86, college: BYU-Hawaii) contributed with 17 points and 4 blocks (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Point guard Jefferson Campos (191-91) answered with 21 points and power forward Anderson Mosso (205-82, college: Chipola JC) added 15 points in the effort for Minas. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vivo/Franca maintains fourth place with 16-5 record. Minas at the other side keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with B.Cearense. Vivo/Franca's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Sao Paulo Pinheiros.
