There was no surprise when 11th ranked Tessilform Bernareggio (8-15) was edged on the road by fifth ranked Vicenza (15-8) 73-72 on Sunday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Vicenza made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Tessilform Bernareggio was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for naturalized Argentinian center Diego Corral (203-86, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 8 rebounds. Argentinian guard Ariel Svoboda (193-85, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 21 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Federico De Bettin (180-94) responded with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and center Davide Bossola (200-90) scored 15 points. Four Tessilform Bernareggio players scored in double figures. Tessilform Bernareggio's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Vicenza have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Lecco. Tessilform Bernareggio lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Vicenza will face Faenza (#6) on the road in the next round. Tessilform Bernareggio will play against Desio (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
