We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Roma where leader Basket Barcellona (19-4) was outplayed by second ranked Palestrina (18-4) 88-68 on Sunday. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in B. Palestrina made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Basket Barcellona was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Filippo Alessandri (190-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 8 assists. Bosnian-Serbian power forward Njegos Visnjic (200-79) helped adding 18 points and 8 rebounds. Five Palestrina players scored in double figures. Guard Michael Teghini (192-92) responded with 24 points and guard Daniele Grilli (190-87) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Palestrina maintains second place in B with 18-4 record having four points less than leader San Severo. Loser Basket Barcellona still keeps top position with four games lost. Palestrina will face Sestu (#13) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Basket Barcellona will play against Venafro (#12) and hope to win that game.
