Rather predictable result when eleventh ranked Dinamica MNV (12-10) won against 13th ranked UCC Piacenza (8-14) in Mirandola 79-72 on Sunday. Dinamica MNV made 28-of-36 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game, while UCC Piacenza only scored twelve points from the stripe. UCC Piacenza was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Luca Vencato (195-95, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). The former international Riccardo Moraschini (194-91) contributed with 17 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Dinamica MNV players scored in double figures. American forward Jonathan Arledge (206-91, college: ODU, agency: Two Points) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Carlton Guyton (193-90, college: Kent St., agency: HMS) added 19 points in the effort for UCC Piacenza. Dinamica MNV moved-up to ninth place in A2. Loser UCC Piacenza keeps the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Dinamica MNV will face league's second-placed Alma Trieste on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. UCC Piacenza will play against Orasi Ravenna (#6) and hope to win that game.
