We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Gorzow Wlkp. where 6th ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (10-7) was defeated by seventh ranked AZS UMCS (10-6) 77-66 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Serbian Dajana Butulija (174-86, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 28 points and 4 assists. Nigerian forward Uju Ugoka (185-93, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Two Points) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four AZS UMCS players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Australian point guard Natalie Hurst (164-83) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and American center Carolyn Swords (198-89, college: Boston Coll., agency: LBM Management) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively. AZS UMCS moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Energa Torun. Loser AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. AZS UMCS will meet JAS FBG (#11) in the next round where they are favorite. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski will have a break next round.
