Tenth-ranked Imola (11-11) was very close to win a game against first ranked F.Kontatto BO (17-5) in Bologna on Monday. F.Kontatto BO managed to secure only two-point victory 83-81. However their fans expected much easier game. F.Kontatto BO looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international forward Stefano Mancinelli (204-83) notched 21 points and 4 steals to lead the effort and the former international guard Daniele Cinciarini (194-83) supported him with 19 points. F.Kontatto BO's coach Matteo Boniciolli used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by naturalized Argentinian swingman Patricio Prato (194-79) did not help to save the game for Imola. Forward Davide Alviti (202-96) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Four Imola players scored in double figures. F.Kontatto BO maintains first position in A2 with 17-5 record. Loser Imola dropped to the eleventh place with 11 games lost. F.Kontatto BO will meet Bergamo (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Imola will play against Roseto Sharks (#15) and hope to secure a win.
