An interesting game took place in Hod Hasharon where 4th placed Hapoel Galilee (11-7) was upset on the court of twelfth ranked Hasharon (7-12) 87-80. Hasharon players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Vernon Teel (193-87, college: Loyola Mary) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists. The former international Sean Daniel (197-89) contributed with 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Hasharon players scored in double figures. American forward Brandon Edwards (198-91, college: Texas Arlington) answered with 24 points and 7 rebounds and guard Lior Surf (-88) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Hapoel Galilee. Hasharon moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Maccabi K/M. Hapoel Galilee at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Hasharon's next round opponent will be higher ranked Hapoel B/S (#4) in Beer Sheva and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel Galilee will play at home against Hapoel Migd.H. and hope to win that game.
