Regular Season Round 19: Macc.Rehovot - Hapoel B/S 71-92

Leading Maccabi Rehovot (14-5) recorded its fifth loss at the home court. Hosts were rolled over by fifth ranked Hapoel B/S (12-7) 92-71. Hapoel B/S shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Or Solomon (202-93) who led the winners and scored 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Andell Cumberbatch (196-93, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Five Hapoel B/S players scored in double figures. American forward AlLonzo Coleman (201-89, college: Presbyterian) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Gur Porat (197-79) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Maccabi Rehovot in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hapoel B/S moved-up to fourth place. Maccabi Rehovot at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. They share it with Elitzur K-A. Hapoel B/S will play against Hasharon (#11) in Hod Hasharon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Maccabi Rehovot will play on the road against Maccabi K/M (#12) in Kiryat Motzkin and hopes to get back on the winning track.
