Regular Season Round 24: Olsztyn - Koscian 87-88

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Koscian (16-8) edged on the road 12th ranked Olsztyn (6-19) 88-87 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was forward Waldemar Kabat (196-86) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Pawel Ciazkowski (190-86) chipped in 20 points. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Jaroslaw Andrusiewicz (201-86) who recorded 32 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Croatian point guard Ante Markoc (188-93) added 25 points and 7 assists respectively. Five Koscian and four Olsztyn players scored in double figures. Koscian maintains third position in Group A with 16-8 record having seven points less than leader Gornik Walbrzych. Olsztyn lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth place with 19 games lost. Koscian will face Miedzychod (#4) on the road in the next round. Olsztyn will play against Gniezno (#6) and hope to win that game.
