Regular Season Round 28: Atalaya Rosario - Santa Paula 65-62

Fourth-ranked Santa Paula (10-8) gave a tough game to first ranked Atalaya Rosario (15-11) on Saturday. Atalaya Rosario managed to secure only three-point victory 65-62. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Santa Paula. Atalaya Rosario forced 21 Santa Paula turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Jordi Godoy (186-96) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds and forward Max Yanson (195-95) who added 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Atalaya Rosario's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Salvador Giletto (195-93) responded with 19 points and point guard Juan Gandoy (185-82) scored 12 points and 5 assists. Newly promoted Atalaya Rosario maintains first position with 15-11 record. Santa Paula at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Sportivo E.. Atalaya Rosario are looking forward to face Atletico Tostado (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Santa Paula will play against Union de Sunchales and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
