There was no surprise when 11th ranked Bielsko-Biala (9-15) was crushed at home by third ranked MCKiS Jaworz. (17-6) 105-80 on Saturday. MCKiS Jaworz. made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Wojciech Zub (185-95) who scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Emil Podkowinski (194-88) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Grzegorz Szybowicz (187-86) who recorded 23 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and forward Robert Kozaczka (199-81) added 23 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Five MCKiS Jaworz. and four Bielsko-Biala players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. MCKiS Jaworz. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group C with 17-6 record having seven points less than leader Gornik Walbrzych. Bielsko-Biala lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth place with 15 games lost. MCKiS Jaworz. will face league's leader AZS AGH Krk. in Krakow in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bielsko-Biala will play on the road against AZS PS Gliwice (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
