An interesting game for Mersin MBK (15-6) which hosted in Mersin one of their biggest challengers Edremit (14-7). Third ranked Mersin MBK had an easy win 78-57. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Edremit. Mersin MBK players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. American-FYR Macedonian forward Ashley Paris (191-87, college: Oklahoma) had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Irem Tulgar (-90) chipped in 21 points and 4 steals during the contest. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Hande Celebi (-90, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and American center Kara Braxton (198-83, college: Georgia) scored 19 points. Mersin MBK maintains third position with 15-6 record having four points less than leader Orduspor. Edremit at the other side dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Cankaya. Mersin MBK will play against league's second-placed Bursa BSB on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Edremit will play against Elazig and hopes to get back on the winning track.
