No shocking result in a game when fourteenth ranked Valle de Egues (6-16) beat 16th ranked CBT Gimnastica (3-19) in Olaz 67-62 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But CBT Gimnastica won fourth quarter 16-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for Ivorian power forward Kouassi Konan (204-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds. Nicolas Justicia contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jorge Urtiaga (197-89) replied with 11 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Tomas Ramon (203-84) added 15 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for CBT Gimnastica. Valle de Egues maintains fourteenth position in Group A-A with 6-16 record. CBT Gimnastica lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixteenth place with 19 games lost. Valle de Egues will face higher ranked Pielagos (#4) in Renedo de Pielagos in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. CBT Gimnastica will play at home against Zarautz (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
