No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Civitanova (13-11) edged on the road 12th ranked Giulianova (10-14) 71-70 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was forward Francesco Amoroso (201-78) who scored 22 points and 4 assists. Forward Riccardo Coviello (195-88) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Nicola Bastone (196-92) who recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and center Daniele Tomasello (203-93) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Civitanova moved-up to sixth place in B. Loser Giulianova dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. Civitanova will face Nardo (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Giulianova will play against Matera and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
