Very important is a loss of second ranked Yulon Luxgen (14-9) against seventh ranked Taiwan Beer (9-16) on Sunday night. Yulon Luxgen was defeated by Taiwan Beer in a tough game 61-66. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Yulon Luxgen. American power forward Walter Sharpe (206-86, college: UAB) nailed a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and the former international forward Tsung-Han Huang (193-94) accounted for 7 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Cheng-Ju Lu (194-86) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Australian center Luke Nevill (218-86, college: Utah) added 9 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Yulon Luxgen in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Taiwan Beer maintains seventh place with 9-16 record. Yulon Luxgen at the other side keeps the second position with nine games lost. Taiwan Beer will play against higher ranked Dacin Tigers (#4) in Taipei in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Yulon Luxgen will play against KKL and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
