Regular Season Round 21: AZS UMCS - Wisla Krakow 81-56

The game between second ranked Wisla Krakow (15-4) and sixth ranked AZS UMCS (12-7) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Wisla Krakow was crushed by AZS UMCS in Lublin 81-56. AZS UMCS dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Wisla Krakow's 34. Nigerian forward Uju Ugoka (185-93, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Two Points) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and American guard Feyonda Fitzgerald (170-95, college: Temple) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Jamaican-American point guard Maurita Reid (172-85, college: Miami, FL) with 9 points and 10 rebounds and Spanish guard Leonor Rodriguez-Manso (180-91, college: Florida St.) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. AZS UMCS maintains sixth place with 12-7 record. Wisla Krakow at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. AZS UMCS are looking forward to face higher ranked Sleza Wroclaw (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Wisla Krakow will play against Basket Gdynia and is hoping to win this game.
