Regular Season Round 21: Maccabi K/M - Hapoel B/S 80-83

Twelfth-ranked Maccabi K/M (7-14) used its home court advantage to challenge fourth ranked Hapoel B/S (14-7) in Kiryat Motzkin on Tuesday. The visitors from Beer Sheva managed to secure only three-point victory 83-80. However their fans expected much easier game. Hapoel B/S made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Maccabi K/M turnovers. Strangely Maccabi K/M outrebounded Hapoel B/S 42-28 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American Storm Warren (201-88, college: LSU, agency: Ron Sport) who led his team to a victory with 28 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Or Solomon (202-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Hapoel B/S players scored in double figures. American swingman Folarin Campbell (189-86, college: George Mason) answered with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and American-DR Congolese center Bambale Osby (203-86, college: Maryland, agency: Octagon Europe) added 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Maccabi K/M. Hapoel B/S have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Elitzur K-A. Maccabi K/M lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Hapoel B/S will face bottom-ranked Hapoel Migd.H. (#14) in Tarshicha in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Maccabi K/M will play on the road against Elitzur Yavne and hope to win that game.
