Regular Season Round 22: Boulazac - Levallois 87-91

Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Boulazac Basket (7-15) lost at home to eleventh ranked Levallois (11-11) 91-87 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 47-42 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Levallois especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Boulazac Basket was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for Slovenian guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 assists. International Boris Diaw (203-82) contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Levallois players scored in double figures. American guard Karvel Anderson (188-91, college: Robert Morris) replied with 24 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) and his fellow American import guard Trenton Meacham (190-85, college: Illinois) added 15 points in the effort for Boulazac Basket. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Levallois have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Dijon and ASVEL. Newly promoted Boulazac Basket dropped to the seventeenth position with 15 games lost. Levallois will face Gravelines-Dunkerque (#12) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Boulazac Basket will play against Le Portel (#10) and hope to win that game.
