Regular Season Round 21: Samara-2 - Enisey-2 84-68

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Enisey-2 (3-29) lost on the road to first ranked Samara-2 (25-7) 84-68 on Thursday. Samara-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Enisey-2's 34. They outrebounded Enisey-2 52-24 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Samara-2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for center Dmitriy Khaldeyev (208-99) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Filip Stoyko (200-98) contributed with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Nikita Osit (200-98) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Mark Zakharov (181-98) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for Enisey-2. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Samara-2 have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 25-7 record. Loser Enisey-2 stay dead last with 29 lost games. Samara-2 will have a break next round. Enisey-2 will play at home against N.Novgorod-2 (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
