An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Byblos. Third ranked CS Antonins faced one of their biggest challengers Byblos. Guests from Antonins (8-14) defeated host Byblos (3-18) 74-68. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Barbados forward Vernon Goodridge (206-84, college: La Salle) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Kevin Brown (190-92, college: New Orleans) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Goodridge is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side the former international point guard Rodrigue Akl (187-88) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized American guard Tarek Ammoury (198-90, college: Marymount) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted CS Antonins maintains third position in Group B with 8-14 record having eleven points less than leader Al Riyadi. Byblos at the other side keep the fourth place with 18 games lost. CS Antonins will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Byblos will play against Tadamon (#5) in Zouk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
