No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Oviedo CB (17-9) smashed on the road 10th ranked Caceres Basket (11-14) 97-72. The game without a history. Oviedo CB led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Oviedo CB shot 61.3 percent from the field. Oviedo CB had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Center Jose-Maria Gonzalez (206-91, agency: Duran International) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Senegalese forward Mouhamed Barro (205-95) supported him with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Gonzalez is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 21 points by guard Pol Olivier (188, college: NW Nazarene) did not help to save the game for Caceres Basket. Lithuanian forward Rolandas Jakstas (202-92) added 15 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Caceres Basket's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Oviedo CB moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Melilla. Caceres Basket lost third consecutive game. Caceres Basket at the other side keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. Oviedo CB's next round opponent will be Melilla Baloncesto (#5) at home.
