Rather predictable result when thirteenth ranked Duzce Belediye (11-15) edged at home bottom-ranked Samsun (5-21) 70-67 on Saturday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. American-Jamaican power forward Kyle Hunt (208-89, college: Oklahoma S&A, agency: Octagon Europe) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Corin Henry (178-88, college: Tarleton St., agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. American guard Tyshawn Taylor (191-90, college: Kansas, agency: Interperformances) replied with 24 points and 7 assists and his fellow American import forward Mikael Hopkins (206-93, college: Georgetown) added 12 points and 17 rebounds in the effort for Samsun. Duzce Belediye moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Istanbulspor and Karesi Spor. Samsun lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom. Duzce Belediye will face higher ranked Antalyaspor (#5) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Samsun will play against Yalova Bld (#17) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
