Regular Season Round 22: Chalons-Reims - Strasbourg 80-72

ProA round 22 caused change at the leadership position. Seventh defeat of league's leader SIG Strasbourg (15-7) against fourteenth ranked Chalons-Reims (10-12) 80-72 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of SIG Strasbourg. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-12. But SIG Strasbourg won third quarter 29-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Chalons-Reims especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. American-Bulgarian point guard Dee Bost (188-89, college: Mississippi St., agency: BeoBasket) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists and international power forward Louis Labeyrie (208-92) added 18 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for SIG Strasbourg. Chalons-Reims moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 4 other teams. SIG Strasbourg at the other side dropped to the second position with seven games lost. They share it with Le Mans. They were replaced at the leadership position by Monaco. SIG Strasbourg will play next round against strong JSF Nanterre trying to make it back to the top of the standings.
