Regular Season Round 42: Iwate Big Bulls - Fukuoka Rizing 62-93

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Fukuoka Rizing (33-8) crushed on the road 6th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (5-36) 93-62 on Saturday. Fukuoka Rizing shot 27 for 40 from the free-throw line, while Iwate Big Bulls only scored three points from the stripe. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Iwate Big Bulls were plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 8 rebounds. The other American import forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Guard Noriyuki Sugasawa (192-87) replied with 8 points and American center Jalen McGaughy (208, college: Dillard) added 6 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Iwate Big Bulls. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fukuoka Rizing have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing maintains first position with 33-8 record. Loser Iwate Big Bulls keep the sixth place with 36 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will have a break next round.
