Regular Season Round 25: Souffel - Lourdes 57-55

A very interesting game took place in Souffelweyersheim. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 17th ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (8-17) to eleventh ranked Souffelweyersheim (11-14) 57-55 on Saturday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Swingman Steven Ricard (200-90) fired 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Fabyon Harris (180-91, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 11 points and 7 assists. The former international point guard Xane dAlmeida (181-83) produced 6 points and 9 rebounds and Vincentian-Canadian forward Lien Phillip (203-89) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Lourdes-Tarbes' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Souffelweyersheim maintains eleventh place with 11-14 record, which they share with Boulogne and Brissac-Aubance. Lourdes-Tarbes at the other side dropped to the sixteenth position with 17 games lost. Souffelweyersheim's next round opponent will be higher ranked UB Chartres (#5) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lourdes-Tarbes will play against La Charite (#8) and hope to win that game.
