There was an upset when higher ranked Tezenis Verona (14-10) was rolled over on the road by eleventh ranked Imola (13-11) 86-66 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American Jeremiah Wilson (205-88, college: Tarleton St.) who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Lorenzo Penna (176-98) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Imola players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Mattia Udom (200-93) who recorded 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Jamal Jones (203-93, college: Texas A&M) added 15 points respectively. Tezenis Verona's coach Luca Dalmonte rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Imola moved-up to tenth place in A2. Loser Tezenis Verona dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. Imola will face Bergamo (#14) on the road in the next round.
